January 20, 2023 -- Lyngklip & Associates sues Alcar and recovery service for violent, police-assisted repossession

On January 19, 2023, Lyngklip & Associates filed suit on behalf of Amika Ward for a violent repossession that was assisted by the Flint police department.  Ms. Ward alleges that the repossession agent working on behalf of Credit Acceptance Corporation demanded the keys to the vehicle, and when she resisted, the agent struck her in the face, hoisted her in her car, and drove off with her in it.  The repossession agent was later met by the Flint police who forcibly removed Ms. Ward from the card, threw her to the ground, and then placed her under arrest in the back of a police cruiser.  At this time, several of the responsible individuals and companies had yet to be identified.
